APAN is not just a local association. We have a large pan-European network making it possible for people to adopt our animals abroad and for us to collect periodic donations and receive help from other countries as well.
Unfortunately, our country is known for the bad way people treat animals, but obviously you cannot generalize. However the number of abandoned and mistreated animals reflects the harsh reality. This fact motivates people from other countries to give us a helping hand.
In Germany and Sweden, particularly, we have set up voluntary associations which spend their spare time working for APAN. Most of the members started coming as volunteers to APAN and then decided to get more fully involved.
Thanks to all of them, most of our animals find the right family, according to their needs and we know for sure that the selection of families has been done in accordance with the values determined by APAN. The corresponding association assumes responsibility for each of the adoptions.
